A special macro photography series I created with the help of the Western Australian Museum's spider and insect collections. These 16 images are made up of 1832 focus stacked shots. 11 were specimens, 4 were wild and 1 was a fossil!
This project was about conceptually blending bugs and abstract art. Because that's the way that I see them, as tiny works of art. They're an integral part of every ecosystem they inhabit so I wanted to try changing peoples' perceptions of them and evoke a different emotional response. Interest and curiosity rather than fear and disgust.
