A retirement book I art directed, designed and illustrated. Which included the cover, 7 chapter illustrations and over 40 spot illustrations scattered throughout. This was the first published book I designed. It was a project commissioned by the Business department of the newspaper I worked at. I convinced the project manager to let me illustrate it making it my first major illustration project. I wanted to give this book a fun and lively aesthetic so made the illustrations bright and colourful and utilised a limited colour palette. Being a big fan of Roy Lichtenstein, I decided to give Pop Art a go. It was so fantastic seeing something I did on sale in actual bookstores.
